Mardirossian Facial Aesthetics Offers Top Forehead Contouring Procedures for Transgender Patients

Dr. Mardirossian’s plastic surgery clinic offers one of the most highly recommended forehead contouring procedures currently available.

JUPITER, FL, USA, February 28, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ — Forehead contouring is a life-altering procedure which allows transgender patients undergoing a Facial Feminization Surgery (FFS) journey to become noticeably more female. This is important, as it not only takes transgender individuals one step closer to their end results, but also boosts the confidence of a woman trapped inside a man’s body.

Dr. Mardirossian’s plastic surgery clinic offers one of the most highly recommended forehead contouring procedures currently available. These services are offered through his south Florida office, and are raved about by his previous and current clients. But why is forehead contouring such a vital part of the FFS journey?

The forehead is one of the features defining both men and women. A man typically has a much heavier brow, which casts a shadow over his eyes and the surrounding facial region. This makes the eyes appear smaller. Women, on the other hand, tend to have a softer oval-shaped contour to their brows which is lighter and more delicate. This allows the light to flow into the eyes and surrounding region to allow an appearance of being brighter and larger.

How does Dr. Mardirossian and his highly-trained, supportive staff conduct this procedure for his transgender patients?
It begins with a small incision just behind the hairline which allows him access to the frontal bone (i.e. the bone which shapes your forehead). The placement of the incision allows for hair to grow over it, thus hiding it away where others cannot see. Then the bone is shaved down to alter its shape. Sometimes this is enough to make the forehead area appear more feminine, particularly if the patient has a heavy brow line. Sometimes a patient’s brow is not thick enough, however. When this occurs, the frontal sinus wall located just behind the brow is removed and reshaped towards the desired results. It is then replaced behind the brow.

The recovery process varies from person to person. When you awake from forehead contouring surgery there is a soft dressing and stitches along the forehead. This is removed after seven days’ time. Swelling and discomfort are normal for the first few days, and patients should remember to take it easy to allow for the body to heal. Most patients can return to work and their normal routines after one to two weeks, although some may require additional time. Numbness in the forehead region off and on for up to three months is also very normal.

Complications are incredibly rare, thanks to Dr. Mardirossian’s skill and care during the procedure. Like all surgeries, however, they do have the potential of arising. Rare but serious complications include: infection, excessive swelling or bruising, nerve injury, and permanent forehead numbness.

Shema Kolainu Hosts Workshop Featuring Dalia Zwick, PT, PhD

Dalia Zwick Presents Therapeutic Positioning Workshop

NEW YORK, NEW YORK, UNITED STATES, February 28, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ — NEW YORK, NY–(EIN Presswire – February 28, 2018) – Shema Kolainu – Hear Our Voices hosted a free autism workshop at Touro College in New York City on Tuesday, February 27th. Acclaimed Physical Therapy Specialist, Dalia Zwick, PhD, presented a therapeutic approach to the posture and gait issues in individuals with ASD, Autism Spectrum Disorder. The room was filled with Physical Therapists, parents of autistic children, Special Education teachers, Early Intervention Specialists and other healthcare professionals.

This workshop focused on proper body alignment and physical positioning for children with Autism but was also very informative on general posture imbalances and the importance of correcting them. Most of the time, we aren’t aware of our slouching but over time it has an adverse affect. She states, “by the age of five, if something is being repeated, the body remembers it and becomes very difficult to correct”.

Her unique specialty was derived from her yoga practice as well as taking on an interest in sketching and animation to better understand correct body posturing whether it’s sitting, standing, walking, or even sleeping. The group participated in a few exercises to experience imbalanced strain, realignment and proper body positioning.

Dr. Zwick developed using parallel bars in her practice to help individuals feel how to stand correctly and comfortably aligned. Another interesting point she made was that kids with ASD don’t ever get a chance to relax if their body isn’t supported and comfortable. Relaxation is extremely important for overall health and particularly necessary in order for children to be alert and engaged in their learning environment.

For more information about Dalia Zwick and therapeutic positioning visit www.therapeutic-positioning.com.

HR West 2018 Conference Prepares HR Professionals for “What’s Next" in 2018 on Sexual Harassment, Leadership and More

Popular 3-day HR professional development conference offers over 80 concurrent cec sessions, three unique keynotes, exceptional sponsors and vendor exhibitors.

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES, February 28, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ — HR West 2018, the popular human resources conference, is where HR professionals go to find out “What's Next.” The conference has been convening annually now for thirty-four years in the San Francisco Bay Area—the most innovative place on earth and home to the world’s leading-edge companies. Practicing HR in the Bay Area requires skills beyond the ordinary and HR West is an event beyond the ordinary: three phenomenal days of learning, networking, and inspiration.

This year’s conference is expected to be the largest in history and now, more than ever, HR professionals are flocking to sessions such as “Top 10 ‘Hot Spots’ in California Employment Law” to discuss how to better equip their organizations with training and procedures to address sexual harassment in the workplace.

HR West is produced by Next Concept HR Association (NCHRA), the second-largest HR association in the country, serving a community of over 30,000 HR professionals. Originally known as Northern California Human Resources Association, NCHRA’s membership voted to disaffiliate from the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) and formally change its name as of January 1, 2018. NCHRA has embraced its new name to reflect the organization’s expanded audience and service offering, and its keen focus on the needs of modern HR professionals. On the heels of its name change, the association will have a surprise reveal for conference attendees on Monday, March 5th.

Leading up to the conference, NCHRA conducted pulse surveys of its members about sexual harassment in the workplace using Waggl, a real-time employee feedback platform that delivers actionable insights. Of the nearly one thousand people who participated, 89% agreed with this statement: “I anticipate that preventing sexual harassment will become a greater concern of company leadership in 2018, given the recent wave of high-profile cases in the news.” The responses were aligned across various demographics including age, gender, and job function. A full 94% agreed that sexual harassment will become a greater priority in the coming year. The historical significance of this year and these movements sets us up for an HR conference that can’t be missed.

“The human resources landscape has changed dramatically since NCHRA was first established in 1960 (in San Francisco), and we intend to evolve with it by becoming more scalable and addressing the changing needs of our members,” said Greg Morton, CEO of NCHRA. “Increasingly our base transcends the traditional boundaries of physical space and time – we now have members in twenty-three states and several countries, most of whom have 24/7 responsibilities to their respective organizations. Recognizing that the professional association model from the 1960s hasn’t kept pace with the needs of these professionals, we intend to expand our offering to span the entire continuum of what our members need, from traditional networking events to online services and support. To achieve the optimal value proposition, we are looking to partner with like-minded organizations whether they be other member associations or service provider organizations.”

NCHRA’s HR West provides the chance for today’s modern HR leaders to understand and learn more about the challenges of globalization as it scatters a worldwide workforce. Modern “people managers” come to HR West to learn how to stay prepared to keep up with the latest hi-tech boom and react to ever-evolving definitions of work—including the #MeToo and #TimesUp movements in today’s organizations.

At HR West, HR professionals can discover techniques for increasing efficiencies around preventing and dealing with harassment, as well as other important issues and intricate areas of workforce management. No other event of this kind gathers this kind of HR talent, and this level of expertise, ready to meet the new demands of today’s new HR role in very small to very large organizations.

In addition to over 80 concurrent continuing education sessions, some 80 exhibitors will also offer high-quality HR products and solutions to HR West 2018 attendees and speakers. The unique setup of HR West provides a low-pressure setting for seeking out the right partnerships. Rather than isolating exhibitors in a faraway expo hall, HR West exhibitors are located throughout the venue – making it easy to stop by for a casual conversation.

Regenerative Medicine Plus Announces Stem Cell Therapy and Other Regenerative Solutions Using Your Own Body's Cells

Regenerative Medicine Plus, an innovative clinic has added stem cell therapy injections to its menu of non-surgical methods to treat knee and shoulder pain.

We offer a system that researchers have developed and has been approved for use by the FDA under their most recent guidance. It overcomes the limitations of traditional bone marrow harvesting.”

— Dr. David Feld

JUPITER, FL, USA, February 28, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ — Using a safe FDA approved procedure which collects your body’s stem cells and injects them directly into the injured or degenerated joints to reduce pain and restore tissue. It is now possible to harness the healing power of your own stem cells. This is a regenerative non-surgical option in an industry that has relied on degenerative and temporary options.

Dr. David Feld, the clinics' medical director, states “We are offering a system that researchers have recently developed and has been approved for use by the FDA under their most recent guidance. This system overcomes the downside limitations of traditional bone marrow harvesting.” This innovation gives the patient an injection that is so rich in key stem and progenitor cells that the aspirate no longer requires manipulation and use of a centrifuge. Dr. Feld adds “Our patients are looking for regeneration and restoration, most have tried cortisone or other shots and have been told they are candidates for joint replacement but do not want the surgery or the long rehab that follows surgery” This is a wonderful technology that offers an alternative to surgery and medication for pain free living.

The Rev. Jay Lawlor “The Least of These” sermon for Christ the King 2017 – St. John’s Episcopal Church, Speedway, IN

The Rev. Jay Lawlor preached on Christ the King Sunday 2017 at Saint John's Episcopal Church in Speedway, IN.

The concept of reconciliation is primarily relational and its being relational is rooted in conversion, forgiveness and making whole that which is broken.”

— The Rev. Jay Lawlor

INDIANAPOLIS, IN, US, February 28, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ — The Rev. Jay Lawlor delivered a sermon titled “The Least of These” for Christ the King, November 26, 2017 at St. John’s Episcopal Church – Speedway, IN. The Gospel reading for the day was Matthew 25:31-46.

How most of consume our news has changed dramatically over the years. But my parents still have the Boston Globe newspaper delivered to their house every day. In fact, they are one of the only houses in their neighborhood still receiving daily delivery of the Globe. While it is a leading newspaper with a long history, my dad will tell you that the primary reason my parents still receive the Globe in printed form is for the comics.

My dad loves the funny pages. He always has. One of my enduring memories of growing up was my dad sitting at the kitchen table, eating breakfast, and reading the comics page in the newspaper before leaving for work. In fact, no matter where you were in the house, you knew when my dad was reading the comics – his laughter would filter throughout the house.

But beyond the comics was the news of the day. And that news often reported what’s wrong with the world. Reporting which often reflects the worst aspects of human nature. You don’t need to look very far to find stories of injustice.

Today we have numerous ways to have our news delivered to us. Print media from newspapers and news magazines, the digital, online versions of those news organizations, network television, cable news channels, and even social media. We live in a world with a 24/7 news cycle. Sometimes it can feel overwhelming.

The news is important. A free press is crucial to an informed citizenry and democracy. We need to be informed of what is going on in our world. We need to know of injustice to inform our responses as people of faith called to proclaim and work for God’s justice in the world. One such area of injustice is persistent inequality both here and around the world.

The exact type of injustice Jesus calls us to transform with God’s justice. This is important because it matters what people of faith say. It matters even more what people of faith DO…to be reconciled to God and each other. And reconciliation requires a change of attitude in relationship with God and others. The concept of reconciliation is primarily relational and its being relational is rooted in conversion, forgiveness and making whole that which is broken. […]

Nearly 4,000 Attend the New York Tennis Expo To Kick Off The New York Open

LONG ISLAND, UNITED STATES, February 28, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ — More than 3,700 attendees came out for the New York Tennis Expo on Saturday, February 10 at NYCB LIVE home of the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in the largest event of its kind in the country.

The event was free to attend and over 60 exhibitors and sponsors from the tennis world and more filled the Expo Hall to showcase their companies and services to the attendees.

“It truly was a first-class, professionally run event,” said Josh Ripple, New York Open Tournament Director. “It was the best fan experience from an interactive standpoint. It served as the best way to present tennis on Long Island in a way that even I underestimated.”

There were fun things to do and events all day-long, highlighted by the Expo’s array of activities. The tennis teams from Fordham University, New York Institute of Technology, Farmingdale State and Nassau Community College were on the Grandstand court throughout the day conducting clinics and playing points with attendees.

The Activity Zone was located inside the Expo Hall, and featured a multitude of things to do. New to the Expo was a Beach Tennis Arena, which was packed all day long and run by New York Beach Tennis pros and gave guests a sense of summer fun in the middle of winter.

There were two 10&Under mini courts, sponsored by USTA Eastern, where pros would work with kids as a part of Net Generation Clinics.

“I would say our favorite part has been the activities for the kids,” said Simone Martin of Queens, who brought her two children to the Expo. “They loved the 10&Under courts and they also got to play on the court where the professionals are going to play. The interactive activities going on here have been great.”

The Expo had the tennis world covered for all ages and levels, ranging from 10&Under tennis all the way through the professional ranks, as throughout the day guests were able to watch professional players, including Kei Nishikori and the Bryan Brothers, practicing on the Stadium Court as they trained ahead of the start of the New York Open.
The Expo covered the fashion aspect of tennis as well with a Tennis Fashion Show in the afternoon, which showcased some of the latest trends in tennis apparel and accessories.

We were lucky to have some of the sport’s top local coaches and minds take part in our two Speaker Seminars during the Expo. The first was “The Road to College Tennis” and was headlined by former collegiate stars and current ATP Tour players Chris Eubanks and Cameron Norrie; the second panel focused on “Taking Your Game to the Next Level” and featured ATP player Dudi Sela of Israel joining the renowned panel of coaches and experts.

The center of the Expo hall was home to the New York Tennis Expo Broadcast Plaza where video and radio interviews with exhibitors and attendees were conducted throughout the day. As the lead-in event for the New York Open, the tournament’s Draw Ceremony was held at the Broadcast Plaza and featured appearances by Ryan Harrison, Jared Donaldson and Sebastian Korda.

Canadian star Eugenie Bouchard, who participated in the New York Open’s Opening Night Premiere, stopped by for a meet-and-greet with guests and sign autographs.

The Expo was a celebration of tennis that brought together the community for a free day of family fun to usher in the debut of the New York Open. It could not have been possible without local support, and the support from many companies and people nationally and internationally, in addition to the nearly 4,000 attendees who came out to make the event such a success. We are looking forward to the upcoming spring and summer seasons in our area and to see the sport of tennis continue to grow!
